Capital Fundraising Campaign for the Redevelopment of the Church Building
Please take note of the new banner at the front of the church. On occasion we
will be celebrating our efforts by moving an indicator up the scale until our
goal has been met. Our thanks to Melissa & the Youth for making the banner & we
will be adding to it soon. A second sign is on the exterior of the
building that shows a thermometer. This reminds us & advise the
community at large of what we are doing. Please help in any way you can.
The coffee hour schedules are at the back of the sanctuary.
West Haven Camp applications for campers, teen & adult volunteers can
be picked up at the back of the sanctuary or in the church office. All
applications are also available on the conference website at
www.newlabconf.com/westhavencamp
West Haven Camp is also in need of extra funds to help build a
“home for the canoes”. Please consider giving a bit extra in your
donation to West Haven to help defray the cost of this building.
We have a number of Lloyd Bartlett “Sunday” CD’s for sale at
the church office. Price is just $20.
The UCW would like to remind the congregation that we have a
recycling account at Nova Recycling. It would be appreciated if
you could bring your recycling to Nova Recycling for credit to the UCW.
If you would like to take part in Sunday services by reading the Scripture,
please phone the church office at 634-5301 and submit your name.
Bible study has ended for the church year. It will restart in
the fall.
Sound System: Our church now has a new sound system in place
that is used for recording services held in the sanctuary. If you are interested
in learning how to operate this system & taking a turn to help out with this,
please call the church office for further info.
Hearing Impaired Aids: We now have a hearing aid system in
place to be used during the worship services. If you have a need for this please

Bible Study
by
Janet Mews
We sit within our circle
A meeting of the Spirit
To join and ponder God’s word
We’re proud to read and hear it.
We seek for understanding
We learn, discuss and share
Our lives and minds are opened
With the words that are printed here.
Our hearts are in communion
Connected through His Grace
Because there are two or more of us
Gathered in this place.
We lift our hopes for others
For those less fortunate
In this Holy Advent season
We pray, and give, and wait.
For the day that shines forever
Like the star bright as the morn
To celebrate together
That “God-with-us” was born.

Greetings to the UC
congregation from Haiti,
Thank you very much to
the church choir who travelled to Springdale to help with the fundraiser
so the mission could once again have a vehicle. Thank you, too, to
everyone who donated towards the purchase. Every time I drive the truck
I spend time thanking God. Every time I walk out the door and see it, I
thank God. Sometimes I actually walk out to look to be sure it is still
there - a reality, not a dream. What a difference it has made for me, and
the functioning of the mission, already.
God bless each and
every one of you as you have helped bless many through the purchase of
the truck for the HATS-Haiti mission.
HATS motto
"Orphans today, leaders tomorrow"
"IT IS ALL ABOUT THE CHILDREN"
"Remember one person's life being
changed is more important than all the material things the world has to
offer."
